Social Distancing Date Night Ideas!

With the stay at home order in place, options for having a date night with your significant other may feel slim. With many attractions closed and restaurants doing carryout orders only, date night might seem challenging. However, spending quality time with your significant is still important! Today, our hotel at the Lake of the Ozarks has a couple ideas for having a date night even while social distancing!


Step 1 - Order Carryout from the Royal Catch Bar & Grill

Even though our dining area is currently closed, the Royal Catch Bar & Grill is still serving up some delicious food! We are currently offering carryout and curbside pickup for all orders. Our chef hasn’t slowed down on creating some delicious meals to enjoy, you just have to take them to go! 

Pizza Special 

We are offering a special family pack for pizza! Order a pizza to-go and enjoy with your significant other! Enjoy some delicious pizza and bring the leftovers for your family to enjoy! 

Daily Specials 

In addition to our menu, we are currently offing daily specials that include unique and delicious items created by Chef Ryan. Check our facebook page daily to find out what those specials are or fee free to give us a call at 573-723-3000 to ask for our daily special and place your to-go order. 


Bottled Wine to Go! 

Don’t forget to add a bottle of wine to your order! Just because you’re not dinning in doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy some delicious wine from our robust wine list. 

Step 2: Enjoy Your Meal Together! 

We are just as sad as you are that you can’t have a romantic dinner with us, but what’s stopping you from taking your date night somewhere else? Below are a few ideas! 

Have a Picnic

As of right now, State Parks like Ha Ha Tonka and Lake of the Ozarks State are sill open. After you pick up your food from Royal Catch Bar and Grill, have a picnic outdoors. Fresh air is good for your mental health and if you’ve been cooped up inside, a picnic is the perfect date night idea. 

Go Boating 

Have you taken your boat out for the season yet? Boating is a great activity for both social distancing and a date night idea! Take your takeout order aboard your boat and spend quality time together! 

Patio Date Night 

If you don’t feel like having your picnic in a public space like a State Park, bring your delicious take-out meal back home, light some candles and enjoy your food and company on the deck or patio. 

Dinner and Movie 

Pick out your favorite movie and enjoy dinner and a movie tougher at home! Your couch is probably more comfortable than the movie theater anyway!
