Lake of the Ozarks State Park

Lake of the Ozarks State Park is located right on the Lake of the Ozarks and there is plenty to keep you busy! Enjoying swimming, fishing, boating, hiking, or simply taking in the breathtaking sites in the park.

Boating

If you’re bringing your boat, you can launch your boat at one of the three boat ramps and they also have boat slips available located at their marina if you need a place keep your boat during your stay.

Swimming

If you’re looking for a place to swim in the Lake, the Lake of the Ozarks State Park has two Public Beaches. These public beaches are perfect for those who want to do some swimming but don’t necessarily want to spend the day boating.

Hiking & Biking

If you love to hike, you will enjoy the trails located in the state park. There are trails perfect for both beginners and advanced hikers. On your hike you can enjoy taking in some of the breathtaking scenery the Lake of the Ozarks has to offer. If you are an avid biker, they even have trails you can take your bike on.

Ha Ha Tonka State Park

At Ha Ha Tonka State Park, you will find that it’s where nature and history come together. Ha Ha Tonka is located about 35 minutes for our Lake of the Ozarks hotel but trust us, it’s well worth the trip to take in the gorgeous sites and rich history that park has to offer.

Geological Wonderland

If you’re a nature lover, you will love all of the geology that Ha Ha Tonka State Park offers. The park features a huge natural bridge, sinkholes, caves, sheer bluffs, and Missouri’s 12th largest spring.

Visit the Castle Ruins

When you visit Ha Ha Tonka State Park, no trip is complete without visiting the ruins of a turn-of-the-centry stone castle that overlooks the Lake of the Ozarks. In 1903, a wealthy Kansas City Businessman named Robert Snyder purchased the land to build a private retreat. After a tragic car wreck resulting in the death of Snyder, his son finished the construction in 1922. Even more bad luck sprung up in 1942 when a spark from a chimney caused the castle to burn down. Today, the old castle ruins and the beauty of the park attract many visitors looking to take in the breath-taking sites of the Ozarks.

Hiking

Ha Ha Tonka has some of the best hiking trails in the area. Take a hike through the woods, visit the natural bridge, see the old castle ruins, or visiting the natural spring are just a few of the hiking trails available when you visit Ha Ha Tonka State Park.
