1950s Sock Hop at the Regalia Hotel & Conference Center!

At the Regalia Hotel & Conference Center, we want to be the top place for year-round fun events and entertainment at the Lake of the Ozarks! We are off to a great start in 2020 with plenty of fun things to do at our hotel. In April, we are partnering with Osage Vista to host a 50’s Sock Hop! Read on to learn more about this fun event!

Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the Osage Vista Office from 9am - 5pm 

What is a Sock Hop? 

Sock Hop Dances became popular among teenagers in the 1950s. Originally, these dances were held in school gymnasiums where female students wore pencil skirts, a button-down blouse, or a sweater with a long poodle skirt. Men frequently dressed in white tee shirts with rolled-up jeans or a button-up shirt with dress pants. They danced the night away in their socks because they didn’t want to scratch up the gym floor.

There will be serval fun prizes given throughout the evening! There will be a price for:

  • Best Dressed 
  • Hula Hoop Dance 
  • Trivia “Name that Tune” 
  • Limbo!

The Sock Hop Dance is going to be a lot of fun and you won’t want to miss it! Fun for all ages, come dressed in your best 1950’s outfit and prepare to dance the night away.
